Secrets of a Bollywood Marriage

EPILOGUE

Four years later

TINA SHARMA ARJUN strode to the front door of her home as the hot, fragrant breeze pulled at her shoulder-length hair. She tilted her head when she heard the loud, pulsating bhangra music.

“Memsahib!” Sandeep greeted her as he stood at the threshold.

“It sounds like the party has already started,” she said with a smile.

“They are in the courtyard,” the manservant said as he accepted her bag. “How did the filming go today?”

“It was wonderful,” Tina replied. She felt energized even after a full day of shooting an item number. She had always wanted to be an item girl, who made a cameo appearance in a song-and-dance scene. When she casually mentioned it to Dev, he had made sure she got the honor to be featured in the latest installment of his blockbuster movie franchise.

As much as she loved being surrounded by creative people who were excited to work with her, Tina was glad to be home. She walked through the house to get to the enclosed courtyard and noticed the servants were preparing the dining room for the dinner party. Tina was looking forward to celebrating her fifth wedding anniversary with a few close friends.

She stopped when she listened to the music wafting through the windows. It was the song from Dev’s first hit movie. He only performed that dance for someone special. Tina hurried outside and along the stone path so she could watch.

She walked past the trees and her heart did a slow flip as she watched her lean and muscular husband holding their son close to his chest as he danced. Her heart did a slow flip as she watched Tanvir’s little arms pump to the music as he gave a high-pitched laugh. Dev smiled, his harsh features softening as he completed the dance.

“Again!” Lakshmi, their daughter said, jumping up and down.

She watched Dev patiently teach Lakshmi an intricate step. Tina treasured moments like these. She placed her hand on her stomach, excited that their family continued to grow. She was nervous every time she became pregnant, but she trusted that Dev would be there when she needed him. He would do anything to protect her and their children.

Dev turned his head and captured her gaze. His eyes darkened with love and desire and she blushed when his mouth slanted into a wicked smile. She knew her children spotted her when she heard their squeals of delight. Tina raised her arms as the joy zipped through her veins.

She joined in and danced.
