Three, Two, One

And what if… they both fell in love with her, and she fell in love with them back.

That’s how Three, Two, One started.

I’ve been thinking about this story for over a year. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever write it because it was so dirty. But the idea would not go away. The plot got more and more complicated. The characters got more and more real. And the stakes got higher and everything got darker as I imagined it all in my head.

A few things changed. Jana, my assistant, and I talked about this plot lots of times. Should it be a skanky porn piece that I use a pen name for? Should it be part of the bigger world I write in? Should I use another character from one of my other books as the girl?

But somehow I convinced myself that I could write this under my own name and even though I still think it’s a big risk for me, I’m glad I did. Because I fell in love with this book just like that real life Prince of Porn did that girl he had to buy.

The early reviews are already in and so far the readers have really connected with the story and characters. So I hope that’s a good sign. I hope people see past the sex and find the characters. Because no one cares about the sex acts. Erotic romance is not really about the sex. It’s about what the characters are feeling as the sex takes place.

I didn’t care about the sex in that video I saw. I only wanted to know about the people. So if this was too much sex for you, I’m sorry. But this story wrote itself once I started typing. It took me exactly forty-two days to write it. A few more days, if you add in the editing. So I basically wrote it down as it played out in my head and this is what came out.

If you want to discuss this book with me, my Street Team, and other #fans, just click this link and you’ll be taken to our public 321group.

This is a standalone book, however, it takes place in one of my other “world’s” and you will see someone from Three, Two, One in a book I’m putting out in late spring.

Up next is another standalone about a character who’s been in and out of books in my Rook & Ronin and Dirty, Dark, and Deadly “worlds” for over a year now. Merc’s book will be a dark erotica. MUCH darker than this. So if this was not your thing, skip that one. I will have the sexy, fun Social Media spin-offs going all summer and into the fall. So if you like that stuff more, it’s all good, bitches. I can write whatever the fuck you want. Just not all the time. ;) I like the dark stuff, the twisted stuff, and the fun stuff too. So I will write them as they come to me.

If you enjoyed this book, please, do me a favor and leave your review on Amazon. Even if you didn’t purchase your book from Amazon, just pop over and tell me what you think. I really rely on reviews to help get the word out about my books. People love to hear what others think and so do I.

If you follow me on my author page on Facebook or my Twitter account, you know I run a lot of contests. I give away a lot of signed books and prize packages. That’s how I like to connect with #fans. So last fall, during one of my Social Media book releases, I had a contest and part of the prize was winning a character named after you.

My winner for that particular contest was a member of my street team, Paige. My team hardly ever wins those contests because I choose random winners using an app. But Paige was my random winner and so I named JD’s daughter after her. Congrats to Paige. Thank you for playing along with me and be so supportive on the Street Team. <3

I have a really great Street Team. The best, in fact. They are awesome and we are like a family in there. I’m not taking new members, we are closed. But I do run a fan group on Facebook called Shrike Bikes. They are in there all the time, as am I. So if you’d like to hang out with us, just click the link and ask to join the group. One of us will approve you as soon as we see the request.

I also run Release Day Share Contests. If you sign up to help me spread the word about my books on Facebook and/or Twitter, you will be automatically entered to win a free copy of the book on release day. If you have already purchased the book when you are notified that you are a winner, you may choose and advanced release copy of an upcoming book instead. The next book (as I write this) is Merc’s story, and his sign-up form can be found here.

If you want to be notified of upcoming books, sign-up forms for advanced release copies (ARC’s), special pre-release teasers, or how to order a signed copy of this book, you can sign up for my newsletter here.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for reviewing. And I’ll see you in the next book!
