Heath (Wild Boys After Dark, #2)

And just like that, she lost her ability to speak again. What was he doing to her? She’d never been so turned on in her life.

“Hey, you okay?” His tone was tender. He touched her cheek, and when she nodded without speaking, his eyes narrowed. “Did I cross a line?”

She shook her head. “Not one I didn’t enjoy.” He was so careful, so considerate, a complete contradiction to the edgy guy who had just finger-fucked her in an elevator full of people. His devilish grin revealed a playful side that she liked as much as the intense, sexual side.

“Come on, sweetheart. You can introduce me to your boundaries.”

Chapter Three

HEATH LAY ON his back, enraptured by Ally riding his throbbing cock. Her long dark hair curled over her pert breasts. Her lips were slightly parted as she dug her fingernails into his chest. She was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, and whether he was buried deep inside her or pleasuring her with his hands and mouth, he wanted to be closer. It was an unfamiliar, insatiable urge that wasn’t satisfied no matter how hard they fucked. He tried to skirt the confusing thoughts and focus on wanting to see her come apart again. He squeezed her nipples and was rewarded with a heady moan as she arched her back.

“Heath—” His name sailed from her lips like a prayer as the orgasm shuddered through her.

He sat up, holding her hips tightly as he kept up their frantic pace. She fisted her hands in his hair, and he took her breast in his mouth, sucking until he felt her inner muscles contracting again.

“Ohgodohgodohgod.”

Her eyes slammed shut as he gave in to his own intense release.

He wrapped his arms around Ally and held her close, his cheek pressed to her breasts. Her heart beat fast and hard. He spread his hands across her back, soaking in the feel of her.

“Hey.” She ran her fingers through his hair, drawing his eyes up.

He was momentarily silenced by her flushed skin and her heavily lidded, soft gaze. “You really are a beautiful woman, Ally.”

“I…Thank you.” She ran her fingers lightly over his biceps, and a teasing smile played across her lips. “This feels an awful lot like cuddling.”

He laughed. She felt too good for him to let go, but she was right. He was getting awfully close to crossing a line he didn’t want to cross. He’d move…in a minute…or three.

“Not that I mind. I mean, it’s nice being close to my mysterious lover.”

“Is that what I am? Your mysterious lover?” For some strange reason, he wasn’t cringing at the possessive statement. He shifted her onto her back and perched above her.

She giggled, and the sweet, sensuous sound gave him a warm feeling.

“Well, you are a mysterious man, and you are technically my lover, so yes, that’s what you are.” She touched his chin with her finger, then leaned up and pressed a kiss to it. “And you’re still here five minutes after we did the dirty deed, which is four minutes longer than last night, so that feels like cuddling, too.”

He liked this whole conversation a little too much, but it also rattled the hell out of him. He kissed her softly, knowing he was leaving tomorrow and wouldn’t see her again. He was already mourning the loss.

What the hell?

“I don’t cuddle.” He pushed free from her arms and went into the bathroom to take care of the condom, wrestling with the desire to stay and do just that. When he returned, she was sitting on the bed with the sheet pulled up to her chest.

He fought the urge to climb under the covers and gather her into his arms. Reaching for his briefs, he said, “I’m leaving tomorrow.”

“Where do you li—” She pressed her lips together. “Sorry. Right. Me too.”

He stepped into his pants and reached for his shirt. “It’s not you, Ally. It’s my life. I don’t have time for a relationship.”

She swatted the air, as if she didn’t care one way or another, but her eyes—her soulful, beautiful eyes—told otherwise. “Neither do I.”

“I work a lot,” he said halfheartedly.

“Me too.” She sat up a little straighter, holding his gaze as he buttoned his shirt.

He sat on the edge of the bed to put his shoes on and wondered who he was trying to convince. “My life is crazy.”

“Mine too. Crazy. No time.” She shook her head, but she was leaning toward him, her sensuous lips an inch away.

“No ties.” He said it more to remind himself than her.

“Except of the silk variety,” she whispered.

Their mouths crashed together, causing them to tip sideways onto the mattress. He ripped the sheet from between them and filled his palm with her breast.

“I can’t stay away from you,” he said between heated kisses.

“No cuddling.” She giggled.

He kissed the smile right off her face and moved off the bed. He gripped her behind her calves and pulled her to the edge of the mattress, then dropped to his knees and brought his mouth to her center. She buried her hands in his hair as he thrust his fingers inside her.

“God, I love the taste of you.” He dragged his tongue up her inner thigh.
