Tempted by Trouble

chapter SEVEN

One last taste of her lips and they came apart.

F*ck. Matt swore at every star in the universe. Carolina’s body was a temptation more intoxicating than any drink he’d ever consumed. He couldn’t help himself as his gaze sought hers. In a second, he knew. He was lost.

He tore himself away from her stare. He lifted her shirt off the floor and whispered against her hair. “There’s a bathroom right over there. I’d suggest you go and get dressed. This is the end of the day. Won’t take long. Miller’s got to leave to get ahead of the traffic. The others will end up drinking a couple of beers before leaving. If I don’t head them off, one of them will come through that door in about thirty seconds.”

Her skin was flushed the color of a summer sunset. He kissed her shoulder and his hands sought her skin again. “Go,” he said, more to himself than to her. He lifted her off the desk.

The feel of her soft seductive body against him had him reeling and he almost followed her into the bathroom. He bent to pick up a shipping box. She gathered her clothes and purse. His cock throbbed in response to the swaying of her breasts.

He ran his fingers through his hair, staring hard at her taut pink nipples. Her breasts were larger than he imagined and he stopped moving just to watch her cross his office. She turned to close the bathroom door, her body outlined by the light and his breath caught in his throat.

Setting the box down on his desk, he readjusted his cock in his pants, and retrieved scattered papers, the desk blotter, and a wooden tray. His laptop lay on its side on the carpet and he picked it up wondering how long it would take to get to the courier and back to his house with Carolina. His cock pulsed against his belly as he imagined f*cking her for hours until she screamed his name.

His objective was to drive her out of her mind by exploring every inch of her body, and he didn’t intend to stop f*cking her until the rafters shook with their raw explosive passion. He was ready to climax and almost welcomed this interruption, not knowing if he’d be able to do more than thrust and pump inside her before he’d burst. She wasn’t like any woman he’d ever known. She reached inside him and tugged his strings. Every last one.

He walked to the door right as his father and uncle entered. “Matt, how’s your day son?”

They stopped right inside the doorway. From their expressions, he glanced over his shoulder. There were paper clips on the carpet, a paperweight, and pens on one side of the desk he’d not gotten picked up. Silently, he waited as if expecting them to comment. They shifted on their feet.

Then his father pushed back his hat before speaking. “Come to see if you and Carolina would like to have a drink.”

Matt lowered his voice. “She’s under the weather. Had a long plane ride. Her head is bothering her.”

“Of course.” His father cleared his throat. “Come down to my office if you get a chance. I’ve got aspirin if Carolina would like some. I wanted to show you on the map what we repaired today.”

A smile was spread over his uncle’s face as he kept his thoughts to himself. The clap on his back from his uncle said it all.

“Let’s go now. I want to leave in a couple of minutes,” Matt said. He glanced once more around his office. He’d never worked with a woman besides family in this office. Never brought a woman to visit. Something made him want to remember this scene.
