Highlander's Touch: Medieval Romance (The Fae Book 3)

Atop the ramparts of Carron Castle, Cherub stood hand-in-hand with Kirk, her cloaking extended over them both as they remained unseen to one and all. As the midnight moon shone high overhead, its golden rays swept across the land and bathed it in a rich, shimmery hue. “This night marks such a wonderful new beginning for Coll’s clan.”

“It surely does.” Kirk pressed her back against the stony wall next to the crenellation, his solid body warming her through. “Coll and Fiona have spoken handfast vows, and their bond now well and truly completed. Where to next, my elusive imp? I can’t wait to undertake our next adventure.”

“Neither can I. Give me a moment.” The breeze rose, the air swirling and whispering across her skin and along with it bringing all the secrets it held, including a glimmer of need from far in the future, from Kirk’s own twenty-first century time. “I can sense a great need from within Murdock Matheson’s clan.”

“We’re heading home?”

“I believe so, for a little while at least.” Grinning, she held onto him tight. “It appears we’ve a busy time ahead of us in ensuring our future fae-shifter Matheson line no longer nears extinction.”

“This is what I now live for, to see each mated pair of fae blood join together as one. Your duty is my duty.”

“Then we need to leave and continue that duty now.” She swirled the air and opened a portal. The wind tunneled around them and they fell away into the dark abyss, both holding onto each other as they crossed the heavenly realm through time.

Love knew no bounds, could cross the centuries.

And now, ’twas time for another great adventure to unfold.
