Sins of the Soul

“I do.”


He caught her tears on his fingers and put them to his lips. “Just checking.” He glanced around her living room. “Nothing’s changed,” he said, his voice rough.

“Should it have?”

“No.”

Dipping his head, he rested his forehead against hers. She could feel his hand moving between them, lowering his zipper, working her tights down her hips. She lifted up, helpful.

“I made it in time.” He gave a strangled laugh. “Don’t you see? Nothing’s changed. It’s all exactly as we left it. This time, I made it back in time.”

Then he nudged her thighs apart and put his mouth on hers and kissed her as he worked himself inside her with gorgeous, slow thrusts that built in depth and tempo.

She clung to him and moved with him and forgot whatever questions she had for the moment.

Time enough later. They had nothing but time now.
