Snow White Sorrow (The Grimm Diaries #1)

Loki Blackstar: a sixteen year old Dreamhunter, presumably the best, is part good and part evil, and is one of the few in the world who can kill Demortals in their dreams.

Snow White (Shew): the Dhampir chosen girl, prophesized to rid the world of all fairy tale vampires and Demortals. Escaping the Queen two centuries ago, she used an enchantment and split her heart between her seven friends so the queen can never consume it.

Fabulous Crumblewood (Fable): Axel’s sister, lives in Candy House, and is trying to prove she isn’t a lousy witch like her mom. She is very sweet and loves people passionately, but should be avoided when she gets mad. She is a wanna-be witch and it’s presumed she is Gretel.

Axel Crumblewood: presumably Hansel. Loves to eat, and believes Loki is his best friend. Has a crush on Lucy. He would only die for his sister, though.

Carmilla Karnstein (The Queen of Sorrow): Snow White’s mother, Queen of the Kingdom of Sorrow. She has a lot of secrets of her own, but she mainly wants to find the Lost Seven so she can consume her daughter’s heart.

Charmwill Glimmer: Loki’s guardian who unshadowed him for mysterious reasons. He loves his pipe and has many powers, one of them being a Dreamhunter himself. He protects his Book of Beautiful Lies for life. He also has a big secret of his own.

Lucette Rumplstein (Lucy): Rumpelstein’s daughter. Spoiled, rich, and obnoxious. She changes boyfriends about every week, and doesn’t hold back telling you if you suck. Loki suspects her true intentions. Fable doesn’t like her although she admires how ‘in your face’ she is. Lucy admires the Queen of Sorrow greatly.

Babushka: Loki’s Russian mother. She’s a ghost, and was the reason Loki’s father was banned from Fairy Heaven after falling in love with her. No one knows what her real story is. Loki suspects she only appears when someone lights a cigarette around him. She’s trying her best to be a good scary ghost.

Angel Night Sorrow: Snow White’s father, and King of Sorrow. Escaped his own father and vampire clan to stay a half-vampire. He fell in love with Carmilla and would die to protect his daughter. No one knows what really happened to him two centuries ago.

Pickwick the Parrot: Charmwill’s mute parrot, enchanted as the Book of Beautiful Lies, holding the true and untold fairy tales within him. He opens up to a knock on his beak: tic-to-tic-tac-toc.

Nine: a cat, one of Loki’s talking animal friends. He usually just wants to sleep somewhere warm.

Mr. Squirrel: apparently a squirrel; he was saved by Loki repeatedly, and he loves him dearly and usually follows him for no reason. He’d shown some interest in Lucy lately.

Igor the Magnificent: a shadowy hunchback who asked Loki to come to Sorrow to kill the vampire princess. Usually annoying, has three eyes, and they’re all blind.

Georgie Porgie: leader of Boogeymen. Looks evil but has a heart of a child, and can’t scare babies, which is his job. Although Loki and his friends liked him, he didn’t help him or stand up for them. Georgie can’t help them so he wouldn’t expose his weakness to his Boogeymen peeps.

Cry Baby: another boogeyman led by Georgie, always loses at the Baby Tears drinking competition.

Ulfric Moonclaw: leader of the Bullyvards, Lucy’s boyfriend, hates Loki’s guts. Oh, and he is a werewolf.

Big Bad: literally the Big Bad Wolf, huge, has a big chest to help him puff and huff, hated Loki and his friends, has an Elvis haircut and long sideburns, and loves to play ‘Pig or Sheep’

Paw Paw: just as bad as Big Bad, only he has tattoos and earrings.

Managarm: a wolf who pulls the Queen of Sorrow’s Pumpkin-shaped carriage. He hates the moon and loves chasing it in the sky.

Night Sorrow: the King of Vampires, kills ruthlessly, and would do anything to kill the Dhampir girl.

Bloody Mary: a mysterious girl in a mirror who terrorizes young people. She works for the Queen of Sorrow. In many ways, she messes with her majesty’s mind.

Train of Consequences: a spooky train that you have to ride when it’s your first time entering Sorrow. You don’t pay for a ticket to ride it. You pay in consequences.

Carmen: Loki’s devoted car. She’s a red 1955 Coupe Deville. She plays music by dead bands that might have never existed according to the atmosphere and what’s going on around her.

The Pumpkin Warriors: one of Loki’s favorite bands. They like to talk to him and give him a hard time when he cops out. Oh, and you can hear them snoring in the radio when they’re asleep.

Pippi Luvbug: she liked Loki a lot in Snoring, but turned out to be a demon. Charmwill killed her but it’s not guaranteed she won’t come back.

Donnie Cricketkiller, Beebully, and Beetlebuster: Loki calls them The Three Blind Mice. They’re vampire hunter rivals who used to bully him in Snoring. Snow White did Loki a favor and killed Donnie in the cellar.

The Tweedle Girls. Dee and Dum, according to Axel, were friends of Big Bad. They lived a very short life.
